It was a real pleasure to SKYPE and chat with 2nd grade students in the Van Meter School District to celebrate World Read Aloud Day in 2020! I was honored to be asked to talk about the BEARS MAKE THE BEST BUDDIES series with everyone and read my newest book BEARS MAKE THE BEST WRITING BUDDIES.
One of my favorite questions that students often ask is where I get my ideas from. I LOVE this question because it leads into one of my favorite passions, instilling a love of reading in young readers. I get tons of ideas for books because I read, read, and then read some more!
